Renaissance Multibrand store

GlennSestigArchitects has reappropriated this imposing corner in the center of Antwerp in a magnificient way making everyone forget what has ever been there before. Not at their first trial when it comes to multi brand fashion stores, they managed again to give shape to what a nice and relaxed shopping experience should be. Being fashion conscious themselves and regular visitors of the chicest places in Paris, Milan and London, they know what highly demanding consumers want. Each one of their stores miraculously keeps a clear individual identity thanks also to the specificity of their clients. This time, Princess nv, a luxury group based in Belgium, wanted to house a new store in an existing building with a triangular shaped floorplan all on one level. They specifically asked for a futuristic interior, to contrast with the classic style exterior. Without being overtly cold or intellectual the challenge was obtained through the use of panels hanging from the ceiling in contrasting colors and materials. The panelling also creates visitor circulation and provides privacy within the large volumes and high ceilings. Neutral tones of white, black, wood and navy blue have been used so as to let the clothes be at the centre of the attention and the visitor feel comfortable.
