Copper Bar

A small 103 sq.m. space with a ceiling height that varied from 3 m at one end to 5.5 m on the other end is transformed into a cavernous sculpted volume.

Undulating fabric seemingly float over the entire volume emanating from the walls on either side.

The entire abstractly fluid envelope is created from thin strips of particle board polished in the color of wood merging the height variation dramatically while sculpting the bar from within the wall.

This small space is magnified manifold by the usage of a predominantly single material that is manifested sculpturally creating a bar with a distinct identity that appears much larger than its size.
