Beverly West Residence

Beverly West Condominiums is a twenty-one-story condo tower perched above the Los Angeles Country Club at a prime location along the Wilshire corridor. Finished with elegant materials, detailing and modern forms, the condo pictured here, designed by Robert Hidey Architects, is one of thirty, 4,000-square-foot custom residences in the building. (On the upper floors there are five levels of full-floor penthouse living, at up to 8,200 square feet each.).

Robert Hidey Architects designed rich amenities for all of the tower’s public spaces, including an exercise gym, conference center, and large suites, which are available to owners who need a remote, home office or guest room.

Upon entering the building from the valet-serviced motor court, the lobby’s soaring walls invite residents and guests to view an impressive collection of regional fine art. After ascending the private, dedicated elevator to your floor, the unit opens into a mahogany-paneled foyer, which leads directly into an expansive great room with spectacular views.

“To achieve the functional flow between rooms that the client was accustomed to in former residences, we utilized the concept of a great room and an open kitchen design, rather than separate living and dining rooms. The immediate exposure to the view, coming out of the foyer, was a critical element in the interior design to create that open, spacious feeling. We planned every single unit strategically, with pristine views overlooking the city and the golf course,” said Robert Hidey, president of the Irvine-California-based firm Robert Hidey Architects.

Mahogany gallery walls, limestone floors, Ambrato marble baths, wall forms defined by cove lighting, high-level fixtures and finishes, and floor-to-ceiling glass define the character of this contemporary interior design. A gourmet kitchen features a high-gloss, quarter-slice mahogany cabinetry system accented by a monolithic stone island and countertops.

The 375-square-foot master bathroom boasts gorgeous Ambrato marble walls and granite countertops, a free-standing bathtub, steam shower, waterfall countertops, European mounted lavatories, and a capacious walk-in closet.
